How to Plan a Memorable Dinner Out

A few simple steps before and during your visit make a dinner out smoother and more enjoyable for everyone at the table.
A good evening out starts before you arrive. Decide on the occasion, the number of guests and a time that suits everyone, then reserve your table in advance, especially on weekends, holidays and during the evening rush.
When you reserve, mention anything that helps the team prepare: a birthday, an anniversary, a business meal, a high chair for a child, or a table that is easy to reach. The more the restaurant knows, the better it can look after you.
Arrive a few minutes early so the table is ready when your group is. If you are running late or your plans change, call or message the restaurant instead of simply not showing up. It frees the table for another guest and keeps reservations fair for everyone.
Once you are seated, take your time with the menu. Ask the team about the dishes of the day, how a dish is prepared and what goes well with it. Sharing a few starters and sides lets everyone taste more, and leaving room for dessert is rarely a mistake.
Finally, tell the staff what you enjoyed and what could be better. Honest feedback helps a restaurant improve and gives you a better experience next time.
